Ramble
The stories between these pages reflect the potency of unguided exploration, otherwise known as rambling. We believe that rambling is necessary. Whether we ramble out loud or in between slot canyons or through the rich territory of identity, rambling helps us find our footing. Right now, we all need footing. This summer, as we redefine what "normal" can ever really mean, we turn to the instinct of adventure in all its colorful forms. From Jane McGuire's journey towards making a home in "Rumble Wagon," to the haunting consequence of looking away in Bryce Andrew's "From a High Place I Can See," to the enchanting pull of the desert that percolates throughout the pieces held here, this issue facilitates a deep dive into the art of simply setting off.
